Face-to-face classes

We are very pleased to announce that the first face-to-face classes in England, for the ESCAPE-pain knees and hips programme, have restarted in Liverpool, courtesy of Healthiness Ltd. We know of other sites aiming to restart in the coming weeks and months so please keep an eye on our site map below for more updates. A BLUE icon indicates a site delivering face-to-face classes.

Virtual classes

Thirteen sites, with several more to follow, have been delivering a virtual programme based on ESCAPE-pain with people 'attending' their classes via Zoom or Attend Anywhere, or other similar platforms. Group sizes are between 3-6 and seem to be going down very well with participants and facilitators alike, but as you might expect the technology can sometimes be challenging!  If you would like to know if your local site is offering a virtual programme please keep an eye on our site map below for updates. A RED icon indicates a site delivering face-to-face classes.

Most other ESCAPE-pain classes are still paused as many physiotherapy departments have not yet started up group classes, and many leisure sites are still slowly reopening and not yet returned to full services. We look forward to working with these sites when the situation improves to get classes back up and running. A GREEN icon on the map below indicates a site that has not yet returned to delivering ESCAPE-pain classes.

If classes are not yet an option in your area we would encourage you to use one of our digital support tools.

Alternatively, you can email us with your postcode and we will provide you with the details of any ESCAPE-pain for knees and hips classes being delivered near your location.
