Newly revamped ESCAPE-pain resource for leisure and community providers

Following on from the interest after this week’s webinar, we are pleased to announce that we have revamped our Leisure Sector FAQ resource to incorporate new learnings from ESCAPE-pain leisure and community sites, including 4x case-studies.

If you are a leisure provider/operator interested in learning more about ESCAPE-pain and how to implement the programme in your organisation please email us at hello@escape-pain.org to request a copy.

ESCAPE-pain is highlighted in the updated NHS England clinical guidance (pages 15-18) on knee arthroscopy for patients with osteoarthritis in their Evidence-Based Interventions: Guidance for Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) published in November 2018 and updated this month. The guidance states that exercise programmes like ESCAPE-pain are more effective treatments for patients with osteoarthritis than arthroscopic knee washouts.

We have developed some resources to support clinical commissioning groups who might want to consider integrating ESCAPE-pain into their MSK contracts.

The Telegraph published an arthritis feature that recommended ESCAPE-pain as an ideal pathway for osteoarthritis. Below is a copy of the publication:
