  • 10 June 2021: ESCAPE-pain included in a Versus Arthritis campaign, ‘Supporting people with arthritis waiting for surgery’. The campaign’s objective is to ensure that the needs of people with arthritis are prioritised by policymakers as plans for the COVID-19 recovery are developed. The report sets out a six-part support package to help to meet the needs of people with arthritis who are on surgery waiting lists in England. The guide was designed for MSK leads at ICSs, PCNs, musculoskeletal interface services and providers of orthopaedic surgery. Campaign also featured in the Patient Safety Learning Hub.

  • 11 August 2020: ESCAPE-pain included in a respositary of interventions, Online Osteoarthritis Management Programmesidentified by the Joint Effort Initiative Implementation Group (endorsed by Osteoarthritis Research Society International (OARSI) as a response to the covid-19 situation. The repository provides stakeholders and organisations with access to online, evidence based, international OA management programmes (OAMPs). The repository provides solutions for healthcare professionals seeking to access and signpost patients with OA to remote, high-quality programmes that do not require face to face contact. It also provides healthcare practitioner resources for online training in delivering OA management programmes.

  • July 2018: ESCAPE-pain featured in NIHR themed review of musculoskeletal recommendations – The programme has been showcased in the latest NIHR Dissemination Centre report ‘Moving Forward’. The report highlights the importance of physiotherapy in improving and reducing the negative effects associated with musculoskeletal conditions. ESCAPE-pain has been commended for its improvement of patient-care and its encouragement of self-care.
